Our Food Pharmacy program is designed to reduce nutrition insecurity as well as to prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic health conditions by increasing access to and intake of fruits and vegetables through meal kits. Participants receive three meal kits per week serving 4-6 people, for $30.00.

About the event
Our Food Pharmacy program is designed to reduce nutrition insecurity as well as to prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic health conditions by increasing access to and intake of fruits and vegetables through meal kits.
Participating families receive three meal kits per week which includes the recipe and all of the ingredients needed to prepare a healthy meal for a family of 4-6 people, for $30.00 per week. Families also receive a blender, measuring cups/spoons, and a spice kit. All participants receive 2 free health assessments to track their progress. They also have an opportunity to meet weekly with a registered dietitian, attend chronic disease management classes, receive a 4 month membership to the YMCA, and have the option to participate in other wrap-around services provided in our Meeting Place.
This program uses a lifestyle medicine approach to help families create healthy routines around food, movement, sleep, and stress.
